Re: Coronavirus update – School Closure19 March 2020 (by Vicky) |
Following on from my last update, I’m now writing to let you know that we have now been instructed to close the school to almost all children after this Friday until further notice. Please see the attached document for further detailed information.
KEY WORKER FAMILIES
The government has announced that children of key workers are still able to come to school if you have no alternative childcare arrangements during the upcoming national school closures.
We are compiling a list of key workers who have no alternative childcare arrangements so that we can be clear about the numbers of children that we are considering.
At the present time, we cannot be precise about what the provision will consist of, but we will do all we can to make appropriate provision for Key Worker children.
We have been waiting all day for government confirmation of the list of key workers.
This has not yet been confirmed by the government but is likely to be people working in health, social care, teachers, emergency services, armed forces and supermarket delivery drivers (frontline workers).
If you identify as a KEY WORKER, have no alternative childcare arrangements and would need childcare to be provided at school please e mail sugarhill@durhamlearning.net or telephone school with the information required on the KEY WORKER DETAILS INFORMATION SHEET by 12 noon Friday 20th March 2020.
Kind regards,
Paula O’Rourke (Head Teacher)
