Head Teacher's Welcome Message
“It’s Your World Now” Barry Falls
I would like to begin by welcoming you to Sugar Hill. I am delighted that you are considering us as your chosen Primary School.
At Sugar Hill our aim is to ensure that all children become the very best that they can be. This includes in their learning, in their behaviour and personal development. School is about developing the whole child and ensuring they are ready for the next stage of their education and for life in the ever-changing world of the 21st Century.
We offer a very caring and nurturing environment where every child is valued for who they are and for their individual talents, whatever they may be. Children are supported where needed in order that all can achieve.
In order to do this, we offer a very positive learning experience in a happy and safe environment, which promotes a love of learning for life. As a school we constantly reflect and evaluate what we do and the impact of this on the outcomes for the children. Good is never good enough!
We firmly believe that we can do this most successfully by developing a close partnership between home and school. Parents/carers are very much included in the education process, kept up to date through meetings, letters and events in school.
Our new and exciting Global Curriculum will ensure the children are able to make sense of the world around them, develop an ability to to reflect and question and apply their knowledge and skills to ensure the very best outcomes.
Sugar Hill is a very special place to work in, for both teachers and children. The children are happy and treat each other, and adults, with respect at all times.
There is a huge emphasis on team work across school and when we work together wonderful things can be achieved.
The website is full of information and photographs about Sugar Hill, it is constantly updated in order to share the activities and lessons the children take part in. Please don’t hesitate to contact school with any questions you may have. Our office staff and Senior Leadership team will be more than happy to help.
We look forward to seeing you.
