COVID Newsletter - 22nd June 202122 June 2021 (by Vicky) |
Dear Parents/carers Tuesday 22nd June 2021
I am writing this letter to alert you to the fact that a couple of local schools now have bubbles closed due to COVID. Cases are definitely on the rise and especially among young people.
Cases in the local areas and Durham are particularly high.
This is all still very real and we are all at risk. We are ensuring that all routines in place in school are still being strictly followed at all times.
· Staggered playtimes and lunchtimes
· Sanitising often through the day/frequent handwashing
· Not crossing bubbles
I am asking all parents/carers to continue to follow all restrictions in place:
· Masks must be worn at all times on school premises- if exempt please have a lanyard on show
· Please keep the entrances clear especially Entrance B
· Please stand apart as much as possible at the school gate and do not group together – please line up along the fence with your child/children.
Thank you to all of the parents/carers who always follow the restrictions in place and the vast majority of you do.
I know lately I have been met with some aggression when asking people to follow what has been said.
I am doing this for everyone and particularly to keep our children safe. With only three and a half weeks to go we must not become complacent now.
Remember if you or anyone in your family develop symptoms of COVID you must self-isolate and book a test immediately, keeping school up to date with information.
Thank you again for your continued support in this. This must continue to be a joint effort by all involved.
Mrs Paula O’Rourke
This is a SHARED RESPONSIBILITY.
PLEASE WEAR MASKS ON SCHOOL PREMISES AND AROUND SCHOOL GATES
SHOULD ANY MEMBER OF A HOUSEHOLD BE SENT FOR A COVID TEST THE WHOLE HOUSE MUST ISOLATE UNTIL THE RESULTS OF THE TEST ARE KNOWN
