28th April - Captain Tom Letter28 April 2021 (by Vicky) |
I mentioned in last week’s newsletter that we would be taking part in Captain Tom 100, where the children in each year group will be completing 100 things in order to raise money for various charities set up by the Captain Tom Foundation.
Each year group are taking part in a different “100” activity.
Nursery are planting 100 seeds
Reception are doing 100-star jumps
Year 1 are decorating 100 biscuits
Year 2 are collecting 100 natural objects from outside
Year 3 are doing 100 hoola hoops
Year 4 are doing 100 drawings and 100 rounders
Year 5 are going on a 100-point scavenger hunt
Year 6 are doing 100 minutes of sporting activities
Each challenge is very different as you can see.
Normally we would have sent sponsor forms home but as we are still not accepting paperwork or money in school we will ask for donations via Parent Pay.
All parents/carers have been sent Parent Pay log in details and have been asked to activate their accounts.
This will be needed once we start having visits from school.
Please activate your account and donate. The minimum amount is £1.00.
Thank you for your support in this. I am sure that you will help us to carry on the legacy left by Captain Sir Tom Moore, a true hero of this pandemic.
Thank you in advance
Mrs Paula O’Rourke, staff and children.
