Update for Parents and Carers - Wednesday 30th December
First of all, I hope you had a lovely, if very different, Christmas, enjoying the holiday and staying safe. The snow is an added
bonus!
I apologise for the interruption of your holiday but in light of what is happening and the conflicting news you may be hearing,
I wanted to keep you updated.
We are now in Tier 4 but not in the 49 areas listed where Primary Schools will remain closed. Therefore, school will reopen on Tuesday 5th January to all year groups.
I know that there will be parents/carers who will be very anxious about this return. I want to reassure you that we will
continue to keep your children as safe as we possibly can. Keeping everyone safe, children, staff and parents/carers has
been my number one priority and will continue to be in 2021.
All classrooms will be fully sanitised before we return; thorough cleaning will continue to take place, the children will remain
in their “bubbles” and all rules and routines will continue to be strictly followed.
All rules set in the Autumn Term will remain in place. I would ask that you all continue to observe these rules when we return. This includes lining up at least 2m apart at the three entrances and wearing masks at all times on school premises. Please ensure all paths and the drive ways remain clear to ensure people can keep moving at all times. I will make no apologies for reminding parents/carers of these. This is all so important.
I will keep you updated should anything change before Tuesday 5th January.
Thank you again for your continued support, it really is greatly appreciated. Take care and stay safe
Mrs Paula O’Rourke
Please follow Tier 4 restrictions to keep us all safe.
