Update for Parents/Carers
Dear Parents/Carers,
9th December 2020
I will start with my usual thank you to parents/carers for ensuring the COVID 19 rules are being followed in and around school. This has been a very long term since September and I really do appreciate the efforts you have made to show the staff the respect they deserve by wearing masks on site and lining up on Sheraton Road.
I would like to clarify something that you may have read in the papers this week. Headlines have stated that schools are being given an extra day off on Friday 18th December. This is not in fact an extra day, it is taken from the 5 PD day allocation that all schools are given and we would have to work this day at another time. As usual this message has been delivered to schools at very short notice.
These have already been allocated and our next day is on Monday 4th January 2021. The children will not be in school that day.
I feel that this is much too short notice for parents/carers to organise time off and also, we are having our parties that day. We are all excited!
We will be open as usual that day but remember we are closing early, see below for times.
Other news:
Please remember that if your child is poorly and not going to be in school, to phone the office and leave a message or speak to staff so that we know. If we have no message and we can not contact you it will be an unauthorised absence.
Parking:
Please note that some new white lines have been painted on the corner of Crawford Road, opposite Entrance B. Please take note of this and do not park on the corner.
The yellow zig zag lines between Entrance B and Entrance C are going to be extended and this will no longer be a place to park or drop off, once this has been done.
We all thoroughly enjoyed the pyjama, hot chocolate and Polar Express Day! I hope the children were excited to have their new mugs and cups.
Tomorrow, Thursday 10th is craft day. The children can wear non-uniform and be as bright and as sparkly as they can be. Friday is Christmas Jumper Day. The children can wear their jumpers and anything on the bottom half
