Dear Parents/Carers 1st November 2020

I am writing this following the announcement for a new countrywide lockdown, something we really did not want to happen.
However, as we have seen the R rate is up and the number of cases and deaths is on the increase, it was perhaps inevitable.

This time I am pleased to say schools will stay open to all children where we will ensure their routines stay as normal as
possible and they continue to receive their education.

I wanted to reassure you all that we will continue to keep your children as safe as we possibly can at all times of the day and
the routines we have in place, that have worked so well up to now, will remain in place and be tweaked where needed.
Mr Robinson will be using the canisters today- Sunday to ensure that all rooms are fully sanitised before we return.
The children will continue to be in their year group bubbles and playtimes and lunchtimes will be staggered. They will wash
and sanitise their hands regularly.

This is also about us all working together to keep everyone safe.
I would like to ask again that you do not come to school earlier than your allotted time and that you stand in line at east 1m
apart. You must NOT come early in order to stand and talk.
As soon as you have dropped your child off or picked up, I ask that you move away from the school gate as soon as possible.

I would also reiterate that only one adult brings the children to school and picks up, and when on school premises you must
wear a mask. You have done this so well up to now and I thank you for that.
The children should continue to bring nothing from home except for the plastic bags, lunch boxes and water bottles.
Hopefully the new bags will have arrived!!

By working together, we can continue to keep everyone safe.
I had hoped we would come back to school with good news that restrictions were easing but sadly, that is not the case. This
virus is not going away and we must do all we can to keep it from the doors of Sugar Hill.

I will continue to keep you updated as always. Please look out for emails as well as texts.
I hope you at least managed a good half term and I look forward to welcoming the children back tomorrow.
