School update from Mrs O'Rourke
Dear Parents, carers and children,
Hello again everyone. Hope you are keeping well and staying safe.
It’s getting to the point when we are all craving a little bit of normality, but we have to stay strong and stay home to stay safe.
I totally understand that the children will be desperate to get back to school, I know the staff are really ready to get back to something looking like normal. Although we have been open every day, it really isn’t the same without you all.
There is lots of speculation in the press and on television about when some children will be allowed back to school, but at the moment there is no date set and absolutely no idea what that might look like.
Please be assured I will update you when I know anything.
We are working on our own plans as to how coming back will work for us here. I will not do anything until I know it is safe to do so, for children, staff and parents. You are all my priority.
It has been lovely to receive the photographs of work the children are doing at home. Mrs Noble is working hard to keep putting this on the website, along with the updated work. Please keep checking the website.
Please remember to only do what you can and not to worry about it. It’s great to see the projects and other activities you are doing with your families. Keep sending these in to sugarhill@durhamlearning.net
A very special shout out to Isla and Annie McGilloway who have been making scrub bags for the NHS, see the story on the website.
I hope you have a good week and keep staying home to stay safe.
Hopefully see you all soon.
Mrs Paula O’Rourke
